Synopsis
In 1939, a massive exodus of Spanish Republicans arrives in Mexico as refugees. Fernando, a Republican fighter who has lost his ability to speak during the war, is taken in as a guest by a family of ranchers in Chihuahua. To the family, Fernando is just a poor madman, another victim of the war, but to Clementina, the eldest daughter, he is an opportunity to blend her imagination with Fernando's madness.
